The Pit 1.0.0 marked the official release of the Hypixel Pit. It introduced Killstreaks, new renown unlocks including shop items and killstreak bundles in addition to the standard passive upgrades, achievements, the profile viewer, Pit Supporter, and many balance changes and bug fixes. The Renown Shop was divided into categories due to all of the upgrades added during the update.

The primary addition of the update, killstreaks, allowed players to gain rewards or combat advantages by killing several players in a row without dying. In order to prevent players from becoming unkillable and reaching incredibly high killstreaks, megastreaks were also added, which provide short-term benefits and a bonus upon death, but cause the user some detriment as their killstreak increases. Players have the Overdrive megastreak equipped by default and cannot un-equip it. Several items were added along with megastreaks, such as the Beastmode Helmet and Totally Legit Gem. The Item Shop was also updated with ten new items available to unlock in the Renown Shop. A list of these items may be found on the Item Shop page.

In addition to the new killstreak bundles and shop items, the Autobuy, Very Yummy, Experience-Industrial Complex, One Upper, Self Confidence, Promotion!!, and Celebrity upgrades and the Assistant to the Streaker, Co-op Cat, and Thick perk were added to the Renown Shop.

The /view [username] command (and its shortcut, sneak + right-clicking on the target player) was introduced, allowing players to view the inventory and profile of the selected player.

The Pit Supporter upgrade was also added and was available for purchase by players at Prestige II or higher. For 1,000 Hypixel Gold (The equivalent of $10 USD), players could purchase the ability to dye standard colors of Fresh Pants and the /events command. Players who purchased Pit Supporter would have a star (✬) suffix next to their username in their nametag and in their chat messages.

Balance changes:

• (↑) Raffle participation bonus gold was increased from (150g → 1,500g).
• (↑) The Yummy renown upgrade's gold bonus was increased from (2g → 3g).
• (↑) The Spammer perk's gold bonus now applies after the assist multiplier.
• (↑) The Trickle-down perk now summons gold ingots near the player. There is no indication when the perk does this.
• (↑) The Marathon perk's damage bonus was increased from (+15% → +18%) and its damage reduction was increased from (–15% → –18%).
• (↑) The Sierra enchantment's gold bonus was increased at all tiers.
• I: Gain (+20g → +30g) per piece of diamond armor the target was wearing.
• II: Gain (+40g → +60g) per piece of diamond armor the target was wearing.
• III: Gain (+60g → +90g) per piece of diamond armor the target was wearing.
• (↑) The Billy enchantment's damage reduction now applies incrementally in increments of 1,000, resulting in the same damage reduction at a 5,000 bounty.
• (↑) The Pebble enchantment's gold bonus was increased at all tiers.
• I: Gain (+5g → +10g) on ingot pickups.
• II: Gain (+10g → +20g) on ingot pickups.
• III: Gain (+15g → +30g) on ingot pickups.
• (↑) The McSwimmer enchantment now grants immunity to drowning at all tiers.
• (↑) The Portable Pond enchantment's water despawns when the user is too far away, rather than after 30 seconds.
• (↑) The Grasshopper and Cricket enchantments now activate on green stained clay.
• (↑) The Heartripper enchantment now consumes (3 → 2) lives on activation.
• (↑) The maximum XP players can earn on kill was increased from (250 XP → 300 XP) and the streak XP bonus now scales from (80 → 100) kills.
• (~) The Beast can no longer gain absorption, but they do not lose mystic lives when dying.
• (~) Soups earned from assist are now called "Assist Soup" and have the texture of mushroom stew. Instead of 1.5♥︎ heal and Regeneration I (0:07), grants Regeneration II (0:07). Tasty Soup no longer grants Regeneration.
• (~) Self-damage from Instaboom halved, but Instaboom TNT per kill at tier III reduced from (3 → 2).^{[bug]The forums article also states that the maximum instabooms held was "decreased to 6", however, the cap was already 6.}
• (↓) The Divine Miracle enchantment's activation chance was decreased at all tiers.
• I: (20% → 15%) chance to save mystic lives on death.
• II: (40% → 30%) chance to save mystic lives on death.
• III: (60% → 45%) chance to save mystic lives on death.
• (↓) Dark Pants are now as strong as (chainmail → leather).
• (↓) Crafting Dark Pants now takes 1 more Chunk of Vile at all tiers of Heresy.
• (↓) The Combo: Venom enchantment is now RARE!. The target will also have the Somber effect applied.
• (↓) The Misery enchantment now only triggers against leather pants, rather than any leather armor piece.

Gameplay changes:

• The /gg command was added, allowing players to earn 10-50 Hypixel Karma depending on their rank when used up to 7 seconds after a Major Event ends.
• Trade transaction limit increased from (12 → 25).
• Removed being able to save mystic lives once per day when logging out in combat.
• Added five tiers to the Renown XP Bump renown upgrade.
• Kills on Genesis on players without a faction now grant +1 faction point. Faction points are now also boosted by the 2x Rewards and King of the Hill events.

Bug fixes:

• The Spire event now restores the user's inventory as it was when the event started. Spire's tablist now also sorts by current floor.
• Becoming the Beast no longer destroys the user's Archangel Chestplate. Notably, this change did not apply to Armageddon Boots.
• The Martyrdom enchantment can no longer be triggered too close to the spawn area.
• Fixed some missing cases for Armageddon Boots.
• Server lockdowns for restart now only begin after the entrances to the pit are closed.
• Active trade requests are now cancelled when prestiging.
• The Trash Panda menu is now forcibly closed when the user takes damage.
• Fixed being able to drop normally undroppable items by having a full inventory.
• Fixed being able to use Critically Rich and Wolf Pack against a target using Somber to earn infinite gold.
• Fixed on-hit mystic enchantments still triggering on Aqua Pants users while using Unite.
