Renown is a special currency unlocked when the player prestiges for the first time.
Renown can be spent in the Renown Shop located at the Prestige NPC, where it can be spent to unlock Renown Upgrades, Renown Perks, Renown Shop Items, and Megastreak Bundles.
When prestiging, the player gains renown. The amount gained is based on the prestige the player has achieved.
- Prestige I – IV: 10 renown
- Prestige V – X: 20 renown
- Prestige XI – XV: 30 renown
- Prestige XVI – XX: 40 renown
- Prestige XXI – XXV: 50 renown
- Prestige XXVI – XXVIII: 75 renown
- Prestige XXIX: 100 renown
- Prestige XXX: 250 renown
- Prestige XXXI – L: 100 renown
Renown can also be obtained from major events, if the player is at prestige I or higher. The amount of renown depends on the player's position at the end of the event.
- Team Deathmatch, Robbery, Rage Pit, Pizza, Beast: 1 renown for scoring within the top 20, 2 renown for scoring within the top 3
- Spire: 1 renown for scoring within the top 20, 2 renown for scoring within the top 3, plus 1 for reaching floor 6 at least once
- Blockhead: 1 renown for scoring within the top 15, 2 renown for scoring within the top 5
- Squads: 1 renown for scoring within the top 7 squads, 2 renown for scoring within the top 3 squads
- Raffle: 1 renown for depositing at least 27 tickets
In addition, renown can also be obtained through completing the Magnum Opus megastreak or purchasing it in auctions.
Renown is bound to the player who earned it; once obtained, it cannot be traded.

Trivia
- A shop item called the Golden Pickaxe (Efficiency VII Golden Pickaxe) was added in the 1.0 update. However, it was removed with the addition of the current golden pickaxe. Players who spent renown on this upgrade could be refunded for 10 renown.
- It takes 3,400 renown to purchase every upgrade and unlock in the Renown Shop.
